ABOUT HACKATHON
What comes to mind when you hear the word HACKATHON?
A group of high-school kids that hack governmental computer systems? It sounds terrible doesn’t it? Don’t worry, this is not the kind of “hacking” we have in mind.
Today, hackathons let people express themselves and be creative either with the help of technology or simply with a pen and paper combined with the right idea. They involve organized groups of individuals who create new and unique solutions based on challenges set by organizers of such events. They shape communities where participants learn together and exchange knowledge. They incorporate creative problem-solving and building – because building is fun. They offer a chance for like-minded people to come together and cross borders, either personal or entrepreneurial. They provide a platform where new ideas can be heard and be executed with teamwork.
Does it sound interesting? Have we awakened your interest? Will you participate? Great! First things first:
This edition of hackathon is almost here and it will occur on 5th and 6th October.
This time, the challenges will share a common theme: “My safety and mobility”, which will encompass topics such as preventive actions, reputation of Police and Municipal police as well as citizen aid.
In your opinion, what is the best way in which Police and Municipal police could improve on their work, specifically related to vulnerability, general and personal safety as well as mobility?
Has it crossed your mind that it might be you who will strengthen the link between Police and Municipal police and citizens?
Hackathon is an excellent opportunity for you and all innovators who want to delve into the inner workings of Police, train their grey matter or simply want better services and more successful applications!
Your innovation may be responsible for making Slovenia a safer place in the long run!
If you are ready to take on a fresh challenge, join us at hackathon! Are you in?
Like many other countries, Slovenia is facing problems related to safety and mobility.
